Dear Cubic Castles Community,

We want to share an important update about the future of Cubic Castles.

As players have already noticed, Cubic hasn't had the level of attention and care that it would get some years ago. The player counts are down from the best years, in part because the game is older but also because we haven't had the resources to provide the quality of updates and changes you all deserve and would need to stay excited. Ongoing maintenance- particularly addressing exploits and moderation- requires more dedicated focus than we've been able to provide.

As a result, the current development team will be stepping back after delivering one final content update this Easter.

But there is also good news. We're pleased to share that one of the original developers, BetaMax, plans to take over ownership and development of Cubic Castles under his company. Going forward, they will assume full responsibility for updates, changes, and the long-term direction of the game. We think this is a good thing for the game and the community as it will breathe fresh new energy and life into the game.

What this means practically:

Easter will be our final content update from the current team. The game will now be managed by a new team going forward. They will need some time to come to terms with the game as it stands today and make their plans for the future. The game will remain online and playable during this transition period. Cubit sales or other elements may pause while account transfers occur.

Once the transition is complete, the future of Cubic Castles will be guided entirely by the new development team.

Thank you for the years of creativity, worlds, friendships, and memories you've built with us. Cubic Castles exists because of its players, and we're deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of its journey.

We're sure you'll have more questions so please see the
